Eclipse

I can`t remember the last time I went out on New Year’s Eve it was many moons ago. The rushing around to be in a club before the clock strikes 12, to singing Freddie Mercury`s Bohemian Rhapsody to get us hyped up for the  New Years  celebrations. This New Years Eve was a good one, spontaneous and impromptu. The music was flowing along with the Champaign and Prosecco, but there was something missing with the count down to the twelfth hour. I arrived home early hours of the 1st January 2019, reflecting on the evening and the past years events. Near death emotions, family, friend’s past and present, unrequited love and heartache, friendships reunited and Brexit.  It then dawned on me that on the 5/6 January 2019, depending on one’s location there will be a new moon solar eclipse.  The sun will be obscured by the moon, the night will be cooler  and the sun and the moon will be side by side, along with other planets  such as Pluto (transformation), Saturn (discipline) and  Mercury (communication). All these planets will be side by side dancing together in the heavens in the constellation of the zodiac sign Capricorn; creating a natural mystic, sending vibrations to the earth of rebirth, learning, commitment and  perseverance. A time to let go of old patterns of behaviour to make way for new on a global and personal level.

Capricorn is an earth sign ruled by Saturn it is at home in its own sign. Capricorn is the sign of hard work, discipline, organisation and structure. The Sun rules Leo making it a time to shine and the Moon rules Cancer making it a time to nurture. Nurture our visions our dreams and come home to our true essence and life purpose. Capricorn and Cancer these opposites can  attract, complimenting and balancing each other.   Another ingredient to the mix of this solar eclipse, is Neptune, the ruler of Pisces the dreamer, the lover, the artistic spiritualist.   The year 2019 is the vibration of 3 (2+0+1+9=12; then 1+2=3).  Number 3 being the energy of communication, self-expression, creativity, optimism and joy.

The maxim “as a above so below”, springs to my mind as these heavenly bodies get ready to align, creating a work hard play hard theme for the year ahead. New moons are a harbinger of new beginnings, a time to plant seeds and set goals for our dreams. So, write them down in hopeful anticipation and wait for the answers from the whisper of your intuition, as divine timing is about to take place.

Whilst relaxing my feet and sipping on some herbal tea, my thoughts travel, questions come to my mind. Was the 31st December really New Year’s Eve? Is the 1st of January really New Year’s Day? Are we making our New Year’s resolutions on the wrong day, given that the celestial bodies are aligning on the 6 January 2019?

Wishing on a star!

Happy New Moon! Happy New Beginnings! Happy New You!
